Countdown to Justice League: 1 Reason to Watch the Film

In the famous words of Jean Valjean, ONE DAY MORE!!!!!!! Yeah, we're finally here! Tomorrow's the day we finally see the epic coming together of the greatest superhero team in comicbook history--The Justice League! Yes, the Justice League is the greatest superhero team of all time. And if you don't agree with me, allow me to indulge myself by giving a little comicbook history lesson.

Superman, according to comicbook records, is the very first superhero in comicbook history. His unbridled success brought about the creation of Batman, Wonder Woman, and even superheroes from different publishers like Captain America, Spider-man, and Captain Marvel.

When DC comicbook sales were going down, DC Comics tried everything to attract kids like giving Superboy his own comicbook title, coming up with 3-D comicbooks, and forming superhero team-ups like World's Finest: Batman and Superman and the Justice Society of America.

Justice Society of America first debuted on December 1940, pre-dating World's Finest which was introduced in 1954. Justice Society of America was later on rebranded as Justice League of America in 1959 to keep up with the times by banking on the popularity of Major LEAGUE Baseball and Football LEAGUES.

The very first superhero team-up for Marvel Comics debuted in 1963 as the Fantastic Four. There are reports posted online claiming that the creation of the Fantastic Four was due to DC and Marvel executives playing a round of golf. In that meeting, DC was bragging about the success of Justice League of America in terms of sales. Hence, Marvel executives ordered Stan Lee to create a superteam in Marvel Comics.

Justice League is the blueprint for ALL superhero teams in comicbook history. If that reason is not enough for you to watch the movie, then I don't know what is. The importance of the Justice League in comicbook history is unquestionable as they set precedence to other great team-ups like The Avengers, X-men, and even Batman and the Outsiders. The coming together of the greatest superheroes in comicbook history to form the greatest team in comicbook history is something worth watching.

Well, I do hope I was able to give a compelling reason for everyone to watch the film. Not only is the Justice League the greatest team ever, but it also started the concept of superhero-team ups not only in comicbooks but also in movies.

Justice League comes to theaters on November 16, 2017. Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes-Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash-it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
