Countdown to Justice League: 2 Possibilities for Superman's Return
Just a couple more days before Justice League movie hits the theaters. A lot of people are anticipating and speculating about the plot of the movie. And of equal importance, some people speculate further on how Superman will return.
We, from The Dark Knight Philippines, have some theories on how Superman will return. But before we tell you these theories, we would like to disclose that we haven't seen the movie and that all of these are pure speculations and theories. It may or may not happen in the movie, but nonetheless, these theories are based from the trailers and how the movie was marketed.
2. The Return of a Hero
When WB released its third and final trailer, fans roared when WB finally gave us a glimpse of Clark Kent in the movie. While some would think that the scene came from Lois' dream, a few would think otherwise. For one reason, the scene where Lois saw Clark, the sky was red. It has the same color tone as that of the sky where Batman and the Justice League are battling parademons.
The red sky might be a prophesy of whats to come, but it may also mean that a good Superman may return and help save the day. We've said it before, Zack Snyder has used the dream sequences as a method to develop his movies. While the trailers have led us to believe that the opening scene of the trailer is a dream sequence (Bruce Wayne saying "I had a dream"), the possibility of it being not a dream is still within the bounds of interesting story-telling.
1. Evil Superman
The particular screenshot from the trailer you see above is pretty intriguing. Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Cyborg in, what it seems to be, Hero Monument in Metropolis. Wonder Woman's face is smiling while the rest are at awe and, somewhat, in admiration. This could mean that these heroes saw Superman.
In connection with the very first trailer WB released, Cyborg saved Marc McClure, the cop who played Jimmy Olsen in the Donner films, from a car which was flung towards his direction. The scene where it happened is exactly the same setting as that of the Hero Monument scene. The question is: what the hell happened? One moment these heroes are admiring Hero Monument. Another moment we see automobiles being flung in the air.
If the Justice League saw Superman, is he the cause of the cars being flung in the air? And where the hell is Batman in that scene?
Well, we have TWO more days to wait before we get our answers.
Justice League comes to theaters on November 16, 2017. Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes-Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash-it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
