Fantastic Batman Gifts and Where to Find Them

Its that time of the year again where families come together for warmth and comfort. It is the season of giving gifts! For those who have family members who love Batman, or if you're one of those lucky kids who can ask for specific gifts from your parents, then we've got you all covered for the Yuletide season!

The boys of The Dark Knight Philippines have come up with a list of comics, action figures, and statues that are perfect for the holiday season. We'll tell you which items are hot and where to get them!

1. Comics

I know, I know, your special someone is probably updated with with pull list. But believe me! With today's dollar exchange rate, your special someone would definitely appreciate it if you can get one book from his pull list and give it as a gift to him/her.

Plus its comics. Even if, by chance, you get him/her a book that he/she already has,its not a problem. He/she will thank you for it because you got him/her a display copy. And you know us comicbook collectors, display copies are always the best!

First on the list is The Dark Knight Returns Collector's Edition box set.

This box set is truly amazing! With its big format, this is the best way to read the most iconic comicbook in the history of all comicbooks! no sht! It really changed the the status quo in comicbook story-telling.

This is already available in the market and you can get this box set from Comic Odyssey, Filbar's, DK Collectibles, Planet X, and Fullybooked.

Next on the list is Batman vol.10 Epilogue!

What better way to excite the inner Batman of your special someone by giving him/her the last installment to the EPIC run of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo! This book collects Batman #51-52, Batman Annual #4, Futures End: Batman #1, and Batman Rebirth #1.

It will be released on December 14, 2016 at Comic Odyssey, Filbar's, DK Collectibles, and Planet X! Price is at $22.99 so it varies depending on where you'll get it. We suggest that you buy from the comicbook stores because in case that the book has hidden defects, you can easily report it to DC Comics. Just take a photo of the defect together with your receipt and they'll gladly replace it for you.

Last but not least, Dark Knight III: The Master Race #7 Frank Miller variant.

Wait, hold up a little. No, thats not the FRANK MILLER variant. Sorry, no preview yet for the Miller variant. This picture above is Andy Kubert's cover. But what you want for your special someone is the FRANK MILLER 1:100 variant! if rumors are true, this might be Frank Miller's last project with DC Comics. And in such a case, then his variant covers are good investments.

DK3 #7 comes out December 28, 2016. Your special someone wouldn't mind a delayed gift especially with the hefty price tag on the Frank Miller variants. It depends on where you're going to get it but the price range from P3,500 to P5,000. And goodluck getting one. Most of the Local Comicbook Store does not offer the Miller variants and if they do, they only carry one piece. You can get the Miller variants from Comic Odyssey and Filbar's.

2. Action Figures

Action figures are one of the best complimentary display to your geeky loved one's collection. For its value and for what it is, these new action figures from DC will definitely make your special someone jump up for joy!

This December there are many action figure releases. So first on the list is DC Designer Series Greg Capullo: James Gordon and Rookie 2-pack

One of the most exciting things that happened in Batman New 52 is that Commissioner (ex-commissioner for that matter) Gordon was recruited to play the role of Batman when Bruce Wayne lost his memories. This action figure has been highly anticipated by the fans just because of the uniqueness of Rookie (yes, Rookie is that blue mech suit that looks like Chappie).

This 2-pack is retailed at $50 which you can get from Comic Odyssey, Filbar's, DK Collectibles, and Planet X starting December 14, 2016.

Next to look out for is the DC Designer Series Lee Bermejo: Batman Noel!

This action figure designed by an iconic artist, is one of the most anticipated action figures of all time! Taken from the pages of Batman Noel, this figure is a direct representation of the unique style of Bermejo's Batman. Your special someone will probably shit their pants the moment they see how dynamic the cape looks like.

Just like the Gordon & Rookie 2-pack, the Lee Bermejo Batman will be released on December 14, 2016 at your favorite Local Comicbook Stores: Comic Odyssey, Filbar's, DK Collectibles, and Planet X. Price for this piece is marked at $28.00.

Another amazing action figure to give this season is the Batman Arkham Knight: Batgirl/Oracle 2-pack

We've never had a decent Oracle action figure before. The best part with this 2-pack is that it comes with Arkham Knight Batgirl! The details on that wheelchair is truly amazing. Plus, comicbook geeks will definitely flip out when they get this! Just the thought of Babs sitting in a wheelchair will send chills behind their backs. Well... chills in a good way, that is. This 2-pack is set to be released on December 7, 2016 for $60. You can get this at Comic Odyssey, Filbar's, DK Collectibles, and Planet X.

We also think that it is worthy to include the DC Films Armored Batman.

Reports before are saying that the DC Films line are the premium quality action figures. Well, for $50 we think that its all worth it. The details on these things are magnificent. The interchangeable hands makes the deal even sweeter!

Filbar's already got their shipment. But for Comic Odyssey, DK Collectibles, and Planet X, it is set to arrive in their shops by December 21, 2016.

3. Statues

Statues are the cream of the crop in collecting! They look good as the centerpiece of your loved one's collection. With the premium price that comes with it, I guess you'll understand why not everyone collects statues. But if you're well-off, nothing can top your gift if you can get him/her a statue.

Filbar's recently placed their Joker and Harley Quinn Suicide Squad movie statues on sale! If you're a heavy hitter, nothing says "I love you" better than these statues.

If you're not into the masochistic kind of relationship, you can tone it down to this BEAUTIFUL Harley Quinn Red, White, & Black Statue (1st edition)! And my God! It is really really really beautiful!

For $80, this statue will make your loved one cry for joy! This is the very first Harley Quinn statue for the Red, White, & Black line. Not only is it beautiful, but this statue will also have a high resell value to it. Better get it now while its still cheap before resellers price it for thrice its amount!

And if you shit money for a living, its probably a good idea to get the special geek in your life the DC Comics Brass Batman!!!

This brass statue weighs approximately 36 lbs. and is 20" in size. Its worth a whopping $5,000.00 so yeah, if you shit money for a living, this is probably a good statue to buy. It is a statue cast in brass and comes with a wooden crate and a pair of handling gloves! Thats freakin wild! This is the first statue that comes with a wooden crate and a pair of handling gloves! Hardcore AF!

The best part with this statue is that it is limited to 100 pieces worldwide. Felix Cua of DK Collectibles offered this to me before. Not sure if he's joking, but I guess thats the best place where you can get this MF.
